Enetica - auDA Accredited Registrar
Enetica was the first registrar to be fully auDA accredited under
the new .au domain system (which came into effect on July 1st, 2002).
auDA is a non-profit organisation responsible for administration
of the .au namespace for the benefit of domain stakeholders.
Domains cannot be purchased from auDA directly - but only
through an auDA accredited registrar such as Enetica.
Prior to the new auDA accreditation system, consumers had
little choice of where to purchase their domain name - as
Melbourne IT held a monopoly as the sole registrar.
Under the new system, all prospective registrars (including the
previously existing registrar, Melbourne IT) had to undergo
both a policy and technical accreditation process administered
by auDA and AusRegistry.
Enetica is proud to be the first auDA accredited registrar
(even beating Melbourne IT), and feel that this reflects
the hard work, planning and overall level of commitment from the
Enetica team.
Since becoming auDA accredited, Enetica has continued to prove itself
as a market leader, providing new opportunities, market innovations

to offer genuine real time approvals for .au domain names on a 24/7
